If you have been playing for some time, the Spyro Gyro PRO offers new features that are not available in traditional diabolos:
The raised ridge on the cups serves a number of purposes. First, it moves all of the spinning mass farthest away from the axle, which provides a more stable diabolo at any speed. The Spyro Gyro PRO diabolo is amazingly stable, even at low speeds. Second, the ridge gives you a new place to land the diabolo, making diabolo grinds possible. Third, the ridge gives the diabolo added tensile strength which means when you toss it up three stories high and miss the catch, your diabolo is going to stay in one piece!
